Sometimes I listen to music. Even more rarely, I buy a CD. Sumday by Grandaddy for instance. Think it has anything to to with Asimov's short story "Someday?"
Finally bought a home DVD player. Cheapest one I could find. CyberHome CH-DVD 300S was only $39 from my local Radio Shack (June 2004).
Sometimes I play games, ever since discovering Settlers of Catan in December 2005.
I like listening to FM talk radio. Note the important qualifier "FM" which in addition to better sound quality, brings more thoughtfulness and creativity. Favorite shows: This American Life with Ira Glass and "The Loh Life" with Sandra Tsing Loh. I also enjoy "The Car Guys" and the cooking show "The Splendid Table." Sometimes I like Terry Gross's "Fresh Air," though her bias can be annoying.
July 2006 bought a Kenwood car stereo CD/MP3 player for the sedan:
in retrospect, I wish I would have got a JVC which is what is in my Trooper.
